I've only seen part of one of these movies, Showgirls, and that's because there was some week where Showgirls seemed to be on every television channel every time I turned the television on. I don't think I've seen the sex scene in that movie, it might have been cut out for television, but I was convinced that Elizabeth Berkley wasn't going to be in any movies that I paid for, ever.

And for adults, perhaps some trivia to drop eventfully on unsuspecting ears: the history of orgies.

Maybe it's time adults take St. Valentine's Day into a more open celebration of lust. I'm not saying that we should flaunt that side for the kids to watch, but that adults could more openly accept the idea that most of us have a lusty side, and that gifts can and should be reflective of that fact even if the person giving the gift won't be a participant in the recipient's lusty activities.
Along those lines, I wonder how well a private Valentine's Day version of YouStrip might do as a business concept. Men and women could upload video that was only accessible to visitors they approve.

You'll have to check out the site to see what the events are. But I doubt we'll see the Benwa Ball Race on ESPN.

Higher Learning at UC Davis! My wife's alma mater teaches the important stuff.
According to the Women's Resources and Research Center on campus, the average woman takes 20 minutes to have an orgasm, but the average man takes only two to five minutes to orgasm. To talk about this and other aspects of sexual encounters, the WRRC is hosting "I <3 Female Orgasm" this evening in 194 Chemistry. There will be two showings: one at 7 p.m. and another at 9:30 p.m. This is the third year the event has come to UC Davis, and every year the show has been at capacity or people have been turned away, leading WRRC organizers to add another showing to the event. Despite the multiple performances, attendees are still encouraged to get to the show half an hour early to guarantee a seat.

I'm not quite sure how you can effectively tie in a horrifying yet sexy experience in a Halloween Haunted House, but these folks are claiming to try. The ability to scare doesn't seem to be a requirement for employment:
Do you look good in a bikini? Are you an exhibitionist? Do you want people to LUST for you? Then working at Haunt XXX might be the place for YOU in October.
I don't know, I don't find bikinis or exhibitionists scary, unless, they're the 600 pound variety of bikini wearer or exhibitionist. I might scream at that.

Clearly the Chicago Bears offense has reached disaster status. There are lots of reasons it has reached this status, and as much as I've denied it before, a big part of it has to be put on Rex Grossman's shoulders. I'm convinced, he's not going to be a top tier quarterback in the NFL in any time frame that's going to help the Bears, and he increasingly reminds me of Steve DeBerg, a man who could generate just enough awesome stats on occasion to keep getting chances, and then destroying a team's hopes once he received that chance.
But when I watched that game last night, there's a lot more going on that I found dispiriting, first and foremost the continuing performance of one Ron Turner, offensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears. Play calling is, for the most part, crappy. I cannot understand the reasoning behind why the Bears do not use the shotgun, which possibly could help Grossman see the field better. There aren't planned rollouts, either. Rex Grossman may not be a Super Bowl winning player, but Ron Turner doesn't look like he knows how to provide the tools to develop such a player, either.
Bernard Berrian should be getting close to being benched. Crappy routes and drops of wide open passes don't cut it in the NFL, and for whatever reason, Berrian is routinely displaying both. Of course, Moose Muhammed isn't getting open much, either, so Berrian may be safe for a while longer.
The Bears defense is getting banged up in a hurry, and last night looked like it exposed an expanding hole - pass coverage. It was embarrassing that the Bears didn't try to harass Romo's middle of the field vision all night long, and they paid the price, getting killed on the crossing patterns.
The Bears can't afford another crappy performance like yesterday during the first half of the season. Unfortunately, I don't see them stopping the bleeding. I tend to agree with this post, that Kyle Orton may really be the game manager we need at this point. But I doubt we'll see it.

It seems that prehistoric humanity liked to part-tay...
He may have come down from the trees, but prehistoric man did not stop swinging. New research into Stone Age humans has argued that, far from having intercourse simply to reproduce, they had sex for fun.
Practices ranging from bondage to group sex, transvestism and the use of sex toys were widespread in primitive societies as a way of building up cultural ties.

The old saw about sex draining energy from athletes - unless, of course, it's right before a game - doesn't have much scientific evidence.
On the other hand, it may be more illuminating if they measure for aggressiveness and sex-deprivation.

I'd say that there's probably a big opportunity in the t-shirt/bumper sticker industry for an attractive design that incorporates an "OK" hand graphic and a wink.

Regardless of their political leanings, the majority of American adults (80.4 percent) favors a balanced approach to sex education in schools, including teaching children about both abstinence and other ways of preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, a University of Pennsylvania study finds.
The findings suggest that the U.S. government's support for abstinence-only programs doesn't reflect broad public support for comprehensive sex education, say researchers from the school's Annenberg Public Policy Center.
They noted that 25 percent of American youth have sex by age 15, 37.5 percent by age 16 and 46.9 percent by age 17.
Sex is like any other topic that kids have to learn about. Parents can provide education, detail, philosophy - but there's clear benefit to providing health, scientific and statistical information through the schools, as well. Most Americans understand that. If the Bush Administration can't understand that, then the Congress needs to take the lead to show support for comprehensive sex education.

Most British pensioners would have more sex if they could turn the clock back, according to a poll.Seven out of 10 people aged 65 and over said they would make more time to make love if they could have their days again.
It's kinda funny - some of the other things listed for these pensioners are considered rather conventional wisdom or a sign of stature:
Our society has plenty of positive, reinforcing myth developed for all three of those items - books, movies, songs, etc. But rarely do we hear in an approving fashion the idea of Grandma telling adult granddaughter to enjoy her sexual years as much as possible. It seems like the older generations have some wisdom to pass along about sex, and either resist the sharing of it or are thwarted in the telling, or both. Why is that?

A recent survey of 10,000 English men revealed that 48 percent actually fall asleep during sex.
Okay, that looks like an urban legend. Still, according to the article, perhaps they're just getting a head start on men around the rest of the world.

I'll be honest, I've never really considered the possibility of tourism in space for myself, and kind of wondered what the perceived interest was. This seems like it could be part of the desire...
