I think Public Radio should have better things to do than run The Great Barack Obama Joke Contest. Unless, of course, they really want evidence that their listeners are not funny.

And the Jib Jab video on YouTube proves that Obama is make-fun-able. What does Public Radio know?
Except maybe for the interviews we did on Zimbabwe's inflation, threats to the U.S. banking system, and the airline industry we did in that same episode :-)
Actually, our listeners did alright with the jokes, I thought. ("How many Obama supporters does it take to change a lightbulb?: One, but it has to be change the lightbulb can believe in." Made me laugh, anyway.)
Helps that listeners to In The Loop are not your typical public radio types.
The call for better jokes is still out there (as well as any jokes about McCain that are not age-based...now that's tricky).
