Win-Win

If this Sacramento Kings - Houston Rockets deal goes through, it could be a win-win for both teams. Most of the analysis I see talks about the advantages of it for the Rockets, and I guess it makes sense to do so, since Ron Artest theoretically could put them over the top in the Western Conference... although I really don't believe it. But maybe.

But I think it's a great deal for the Kings, especially if they really like Donte Green. Bobby Jackson would be a decent backup, but the key is, of course, that first round draft pick for 2009. Geoff Petrie knows how to use those.

If the kings don't get good players in the next draft then they wont be one of the best teams in their conference. With Donte Greene, we should see some good basketball, but he is still to form into an nba player. As for the 35-year-old Bobby Jackson, only a few years remains with him until retirement. I think the kings will have a variety of point guards to play like bobby brown, beno udrih, and sean singletary. i still feel that the kings need to get a center who can play with their point guards really well. Brad Miller should be traded with shelden williams for al jefferson.
