Out, Damned Pickle!

Pickle contaminating burger and fries.

There are many foods that I disliked as a kid but have developed a taste for over the years. Clams, sauerkraut, cooked carrots... lotsa others. But pickles are still x'ed off my list and I anticipate they'll stay that way.

What really annoys me about pickles is that restaurants insist on letting them share the plate with sandwiches. This is wrong! Pickles infect whatever they touch with gross pickle juice. When a pickle arrives on my plate positioned promiscuously next to my sandwich and fries, I toss it on the table in disgust.

Join the cause! Ostracize the pickle! Maybe one day we can make the sour green gourd the dinner table outcast it rightfully should be.

Well, just tell the waitress you're not pregnant, then give them back the pickle.

I have to agree. Even if I get rid of the pickle, I can still taste it. Back in the day when I still went to Burger King, I'd ask for no pickles. But since the burgers were already made, the nasty pickle had already touched the food. It contaminates everything it touches!

Dill pickles GOOD. But they shouldn't be put on without request or acceptance. I feel the same way about ketchup.

When I was sick a few weeks ago, I lost my appetite for about 2 weeks. Then one day I was sitting at the computer and caught a fleeting taste of dill pickle. I suddenly craved a pickle. I called my husband, who was on his way to the store, and told him to bring home pickles.

I have been happily munching pickles ever since. But I'm not pregnant. I suspect there's something in them that corrects the Ph balance.

That figures for a Obama supporter.
