Hi There

My name is Andrew Romano Eleanor Clift, and I'm going to ride the Loch Ness Monster to the North Pole so Santa can perform the wedding rights for me and Cinderella Prince Charming.

Note: My apologies to Andrew Romano. Eleanor Clift was the culprit of this article, and I didn't even notice it. I should have my blogging card taken away for 30 days. That was awful blogging.

A Gore compromise is hard to imagine but "back in the day" compromise candidates often did emerge after the first ballot. A lot of weird things have happened in the past ten years. This wouldn't be the strangest.

I'd like to see the Vegas odds on Gore getting the nomination. If I could get 50-1, I'd put a sawbuck down.

More Dems would support Gore, wouldn't they? He's inspirational and wonky all wrapped up into one!

This would kill the primary election process. Maybe Gore would be a better candidate, but the Democratic Party would completely lose a generation of voters who saw it as dismissing the real work put in by two real campaigns.

Want to kill the Democratic Party? This is one way to do it.

BTW - Gore is NOT inspirational. Have we forgotten how his speaking style - Gorebot - was ridiculed in 2000?

Yeah, I guess a Nobel Peace Prize and all his effort spent on climate change wouldn't be as inspirational as "Yes We Can".

It certainly would be more inspirational than "I'm in the results business (without the results)" though.

I suspect Al Romano is the guy holding the Intrade shares on Gore to win.

I thought Gore was a lot more inspirational in 2000 when he kissed his wife than he's been since then. I saw him speak in Wales a couple of years ago, and have been wondering ever since what the fuss is all about.

In fairness to Andrew Romano, I believe the article is by Eleanor Clift.

I can't bash Gore. I think he's doing outstanding work on global warming and would make a great President. I guess I'm just not a "speech" person. At least, it keeps me from buying time-shares.
