QotD: Easiest Blog to Read

This question is about design, and ease on the eyes and the ability to read:

Which blog do you find easiest to scan and read?

I don't read a ton of blogs, but I love the layout of Church of the Customer

Mine!

Okay, I can tell you which blogs I hate to scan and read. The ones with wide text areas. The eye doesn't scan past a certain distance with ease, which is why there are studies that show the maximum line width for each type size.

For blogs, a text width of about 5 inches is maximum for ease of reading, depending on the size of the type.

I really don't like tiny type, either.

hey Kathy - does this blog qualify as one with "wide text areas"?

Yes, except your paragraphs are rarely long enough to reach the end of the column.

Lance Mannion is a perfect example. He's such a good writer, but I can barely stand to read his text. Shame.

I knew there would be benefits to my limited vocabulary.
