I taught my kids very early to "question authority". I should have made an exception for when that authority was ME! They love to remind me when I'm telling them stuff that it was me that taught them to be that way. (kicks self hard)

Me, too! I started using the "did that make you feel better to act like that" line to my kids when they shouted or generally acted like dopes to me or each other. Then one day I really lost it with them in the car on the way to school and ranted and raved the whole seven mile drive. Later that night my son said "did that make you feel better to talk to us like that?"
Holy crap. Busted. And he was smart enough to wait until I was kissing him goodnight to say it.

I hate it when my boys turn my own stuff around on me. Yes I want them to grow up smart. No they are not allowed to be smarter than I am. EVER!
Gotta love kids. They are hilarious. Can't wait till they have their own and see how it feels to be a parent.
