Last Night at Penn State

We were watching Penn State beat Long Island University, and the band at the game played a really catchy "Penn State" pep song, and I wondered - why hasn't anybody made an album of the best of these from all the athletic programs in the country? I bet it would sell if they represented enough colleges and universities on it...

QotD: Favorite and Least Favorite Christmas Songs

They could be carols. They could be show tunes. They could be album filler. But don't we all have a few favorite and least favorite Christmas songs? If you do - what are yours?

Have You Heard The Christmas Carols?

About 399 stations from Maine to Hawaii already are playing Christmas tunes around the clock to bring in listeners and advertising dollars. We have one doing this in our area. I like it as a change of pace from listening to other radio stations, but...

These stations play some of the most muzak-like Christmas Carols you can hear that include human singing. My wife and I have a tradition - one new Christmas album each year, and we are trying to create a wide variety of styles, choices and time frames. We know there are LOTS and LOTS of options out there - why can't these radio stations investigate the international creativity? How about a little Christmas in Cusco? Carols with Highlands Bagpipes? Kwanzaa music? Please mix it up. There's no excuse for going "Top 40" with holiday music.
