I wonder what last week's interstate ice storm mess did to the debate for privatizing The Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Former Allegheny County Chief Executive Jim Roddey is expected to head Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign in Western Pennsylvania.
As regular readers of this space learned back in December, the Arizona Republican's state team also includes former Gov. Tom Ridge; Ridge confidant and fundraiser David Girard-diCarlo and well-connected GOP strategist Leslie Gromis Baker.
It's funny how little you hear Ridge's name around here. For a two-term Governor that left office in Pennsylvania with good public support, it's actually surprising that he isn't more politically visible around the state. Dick Thornburgh, who has been out of office in Pennsylvania for 20 years, and who also held a Cabinet level position for a Republican President, is probably more visible at this time.
