A Thanks

I'm pretty sure this is going to be incomplete since I'm dependent on Technorati to figure it out, but I wanted to thank every blog that linked to a specific blog post of mine this year. Blogrolls provide traffic, but it's the actual specific blog references that really provide audience. So, if I missed your blog, my apologies, but I do want to thank, in no particular order...

The Year In Music: 1976

Time to go back 30 years in the past. Pick your favorite five songs from this list of the top 100 of 1976. And pick your least favorite, too.

A Couple of "Must Read" Posts...

Unfortunately, they are somewhat related...

Go read Peter Daou's The Dynamic of a Bush Scandal: How the Spying Story Will Unfold (and Fade). It won't leave you with a good feeling.

Follow that up with Slouching Toward Kristallnacht by MaryScott O'Connor at My Left Wing to double your depression about the direction of the country.

Blog Post Mile 5

By the way, just a quick aside. With the past few days of political news for Bushmerica, OF COURSE CHENEY WENT TO IRAQ. It was either that or terrorist warnings/attacks/arrests.

And now, some damn good reading, if you're looking for it:

Marginal Revolution: How Google Changes Information Markets

Lawyers, Guns and Money: The Tyranny of Mrs. Clinton

Running Scared: Paper of Record on hiatus from Running Scared

Sisyphus Shrugged: the Washington Post being sniffy about reporters who keep the good stuff for their books: priceless

apostropher: Happy holiday hooters.

Lean Left: The Worst Christmas Songs Ever

Enjoy!

Send some cheer...

Elayne Riggs had a bit of a scare today. Couldn't hurt to drop her a cheery comment.

Changes

I'm now a Rodent, as declared by The Truth Laid Bear.

Well, I do like to nibble on candy and other snacks.

Anyways, who are my neighbors now, and what do they have to say?

Bradford Plumer! This seems a bit improbable, that my blog would be next to his, but so be it. He has an interesting post on the possible less damaging effects of lobbying.

The Next Hurrah? C'mon, I know they are way more popular than me, and for good reason. Check out DemfromCT's piece about how 2006 ain't as safe for Republicans as the professional political wisdom expects.

Interesting interview with an Iraqi woman at Iraqi in America.

Seventy percent of all family discretionary dollars are spent during the five weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. WHAT? So says Small Business Trends.

Finally, if you don't read anything else linked here, please read about Quinn's passing and perhaps leave his family some words of hope or faith or sympathy. They could sure use some more, I suspect.
