The Pennsylvania Farm Show

From WFMZ:

Harrisburg is playing host to the Pennsylvania Farm Show, which is in its 90th year this year. A variety of classes and activities started early this morning and continue through this evening. Visitors attended cooking demonstrations, cattle shows and competitions throughout the day. Governor Ed Rendell was on hand this weekend lending his support.

This is the fifteenth year we've lived in the Harrisburg area, and the fifteenth year we have not gone to the Pennsylvania Farm Show. I would like to go someday, but you have to pay $5 for parking and then take a shuttle bus just to get the Farm Show, and in January we tend to be lazy about these kinds of things, particularly when I can watch the highlights on PCN. I must admit, they have some beautiful farm horses at the Show.

And politicians. The Farm Show is a must for some of the Pennsylvania politicos. In addition to Rendell, the schedule indicates that Rick Santorum will be there on Monday. No indication of Specter, however...
